Are plans available?

The BK1.0 is a prototype, hand built on the workbench from pencil sketches on graph paper and carboard templates.
Decided early on that I would need to build a second "production model" to incorporate lessons learned during the
building and testing.  No major changes, but may refinements in both design and building techniques will be carefully
CAD drawn, photographed, videoed, and documented in the Builder's manual.  Since it took about 18 months to
build the prototype, feel it will be somewhere in the middle of 2007 before the job will be completed.  All the changes
and options must be tested first.  If you are ready to build now, please don't wait for me, there are many excellent
designs that are available now.

Is a tricycle gear available?

The second plane will have tricycle gear and the builder will be able to choose which configuration to build.

Is a starter available?

The second plane will have a starter, to test that option.

Is a BK1 a Modified Hummel Bird?

Some similiarities exist in the windshield and canopy, but the BK1 is a much larger airplane with an RV4 size cockpit.
The wing, landing gear, tail cone, tail feathers, integral fuselage fuel tank, and engine installation are new designs.
Many aluminum structural techniques are shared among many aircraft.    I think it looks a lot like a one seat AA1
Yankee with a tapered wing.
